Academic Atmosphere A. Classrooms The classroom is a place where students formally get knowledge from teaching-learning situation. The atmosphere should be such that students are encouraged to study and work from the time of their arrival until dismissal time. Thus students are expected to: 1. Keep and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the classrooms, lockers, chairs, and teacher’s tables, 2. Refrain from handling anything on the teacher’s table without permission and writing on the board if not requested by teachers, 3. Wait quietly in the classroom if the teacher is absent or tardy; the class mayor should report to the office of principal or academic coordinator the teacher’s absence after minutes of waiting, 4. Stay on the permanent seat assigned to them and not to transfer seat unless permitted by the subject teacher/adviser, 5. Refrain from shouting, uttering vulgar words and talking to people through windows or doors, 6. Refrain from bringing comics, pornographic magazines, and CDs or other printed materials other than those needed for academic studies or those with permission from subject teacher; otherwise materials like these will be confiscated, 7. Bringing of cell phone and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited, in case it is violated, it will be confiscated and be retrieved by the parents from the Prefect of Students’ office or Principal’s office, 8. Look for a place away from classroom for practices for any activity that would entail so much noise. B. Corridors/Stairways 1. SILENCE must be observed while going to the classroom. 2. Students must always keep right when passing through corridors/stairways. 3. Avoid loitering along the corridors during class hours and in between periods. 4. Keep the corridors/ stairways clean. Eating and playing in the corridor/ stair are not allowed. C. Comfort Rooms Students are expected to: 1. Use the comfort room assigned to them. 2. Flush or pour water in the toilet bowl after using. 3. Refrain from writing on walls and doors. D. Campus Surroundings 1. Students are expected to keep the school campus and its immediate surroundings clean. 2. Pieces of paper and other trash are to be thrown into the garbage receptacles. 3. Students must pick up pieces of paper and trash on the ground without being told. 4. Picking of flowers and fruits inside the campus are prohibited. E. Flag Ceremony The flag is a symbol of our country. Due respect should be shown during ceremonies. Students are expected to: 1. Be punctual for the line formation 2. Observe silence before and after the bell is rung 3. Pray fervently and sing aloud together, and 4. Listen to the announcements attentively, F. Bells 1. The bell rings to signal the start and the end of the periods. 2. Students are expected to respond to the bells promptly. G. School Representations 1. School authorities reserve the right to use the name of the school. Any student who wishes to participate in public functions as students of this school should first obtain permission from the school authority. The school shall not be responsible for activities pre-arranged by students without authorization. 2. Delegates are required to submit to the principal a report of their representation. 3. Representatives should be responsible to make up for the work they missed by making the necessary request to the subject teacher concerned. Academic/Student Services 1.
